LV21 Fantasia
LV21 (The Red Lightship)

On 26th July four people took a journey through LV21 - a LightShip moored off of Gravesend in the Thames Estuary. They took time to listen to what was behind them, in front of them, above them and below and think about how the acoustic landscape made them feel. Through the course of one short workshop they came up with a miniature sound world that celebrates the industrial developments on the river and the underlying natural rhythms of water and bird life.

The four creators of the piece are singers with RiverVoice Community Choir, based in Medway.

A choir where all members are strongly encouraged to develop an adventurous attitude with sound.
